A full-grain leather desk pad protects your desk, gives your mouse and pen a smooth surface, and looks better with age. These choices decide which one is right for you. Each one matches a filter above.
A single layer pad is one layer of full-grain leather, about 2mm thick. It is slim, light and lies flat.
A double layer pad is premium thick, about 3mm, with a second layer of real leather on the back. It adds cushion for writing and typing, and stays put on the desk.

Full-grain leather can mark, and most light scratches rub out with a fingertip. High scratch resistance pads hide nicks from pens, watches and mice best. On lower ones, marks show sooner, then blend into the patina over time.

No natural leather is fully waterproof, but some of our pads handle spills much better than others. On a pad with high water resistance, coffee or water beads up and wipes right off. On any pad, wipe spills soon so they do not soak in.

Wipe it with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Skip harsh cleaners and never soak the leather. A little leather conditioner now and then keeps it supple.
